Revival from the Great Commission

18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you…

What is ‘Revival’?

A few weeks ago I was challenged by a fellow minister to really define revival. Not in an academic sense. Not in a cover all the bases and opinions way. But in the 'what did God mean for me/us to pursue revival in Silicon Valley, at this moment in time'. How will we know if we are answering the call…

God Matches Faith

"God had told her that on the boat would be an American missionary family consisting of two adults and seven children, and that she was to give them a home." ~ Liardon, Roberts (2003-05-15). God's Generals: Why They Succeeded and Why Some Failed Upon reading this line a book of biographies, the Lord stopped me and said there was something…

Unity – A Currency of Revival

During a prayer time a few weeks ago, a young lady remarked that unity is a natural side effect of true love (which means disunity or division is the product of a lack of love). The end of John 17:23 (see below) completely backs this up, linking the world seeing unity to them knowing love. If we love each other,…

Revival Wave – A People Saying ‘Yes’

As each surrendered soul bows before the Lord, the wave of revival grows larger and stronger. "See, we have left all and followed You." —Mark 10:28 For a while now, I have been praying for revival all across Silicon Valley. That the Father's Love would overshadow the hurts, pains, and disillusionments of each resident, that hearts would turn to Jesus,…

Does the world distrust our love?

In viewing how we love each other, does world doubt our love for them? John 13:34-35 'A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another'. Ever come across someone who seeking spiritual things,…

God matches faith

God really wants us to follow His lead with great faith. I was reading about a historic revivalist, John Lake, and how God led he and his family to sell everything and sail for South Africa, with no missions support and no plan, except the call of God was simply go and He will provide. So when they landed in…

Revival Topics

Over a year ago, I moved back to Silicon Valley which had been my home over 30 years, God was stirring my heart with a desire for revival to break out in Silicon Valley. As I kept praying and pursuing this in my heart, God kept placing a few topics in my heart that I needed to pursue and write…

His Kingdom is not of this world!

Last Sunday, I had the chance to lead the Bible portion of at Firestarters this last Sunday evening. Firestarters is a house church at Mount Hermon, in the Santa Cruz network of house churches, Gathering by the Bay. I shared from John 18: 36 & 37, Jesus before Pilate, leading up to His crucifixion. Even as Jesus is on trial He is revealing truth about His kingdom, and truth about Himself. I made a few other points.
